FEMA releases the Building Private-Public Partnerships guide

21 Jul 2021 12:24 PM | Diane Weidenkopf (Administrator)

FEMA released the Building Private-Public Partnerships guide that provides recommendations and best practices for jurisdictions to establish and maintain a private-public partnership to help coordinate mitigation, response and recovery planning and preparedness. The guide builds on the 2019 update to the National Response Framework, focusing on non-governmental capabilities to stabilize community lifelines and the continued need for aligning government efforts with the private sector. While the guide is written from a local perspective, any jurisdiction or private entity can use it.

FEMA will host two 60-minute engagement webinars, on July 26 and 29, to discuss the guide and answer stakeholders’ questions. The webinars are free, but advance registration is required.
