EMAT’s regional structure is defined in its bylaws and intentionally aligned with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) regions. This alignment ensures consistent, equitable representation of emergency management professionals across all areas of the state and strengthens coordination between local practitioners and the broader state emergency management system.
By mirroring TDEM’s regional framework, EMAT is better positioned to engage members where they work, support regional collaboration, and ensure that perspectives from every part of Texas are reflected in the association’s leadership, priorities, and professional development efforts.
