The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVRC) has released a free, online training course, Pipeline Response PREP: Achieving Organizational Readiness for Pipeline Emergencies.  The training is part of the Fire Department Pipeline Response, Emergency Planning, & Preparedness (FD PREPP) initiative, in partnership with the NVFC, the US Department of Transportation, and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). The course includes understanding the different types of pipelines and how they impact emergency response considerations, the role of effective risk management in pipeline incident response, and key resources for pre-incident planning, preparedness, and response.
