FBI Study Released

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released the 2021 Statistics on Law Enforcement Officers Assaulted in the Line of Duty. The data collected for the report came from law enforcement agencies and is included in the second release of 2021 Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA) data. The first report was released in May 2022.  The LEOKA assault estimates use the same National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). The data is available on the FBI’s Law Enforcement Data Explorer.
