The US Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) has released Mass Attacks in Public Spaces:  2016 – 2020, a study analyzing 173 targeted attacks in public or semi-public locations across the USThe study examined attacks at businesses, schools, houses of worship, open locations, and others where three or more individuals were injured or killed. The study found that targeted violence is preventable when communities are equipped with the appropriate tools, training, and resources to intervene before violence occurs.
