The FEMA National Preparedness Division recently published a commemorative report, 20 Years of NIMS, celebrating the 20^th anniversary of the National Incident Management System, the nation’s standard for managing emergency response.  The report reflects on the history of NIMS and describes how, over time, communities shaped NIMS into the comprehensive guidance that it is today.
