Hurricane Harvey Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP)

Texas’ General Land Office has begun accepting applications for the Hurricane Harvey Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP), federal funding to help homeowners repair/reconstruct eligible owner-occupied homes across 48 eligible counties.  The City of Houston and Harris County are administering separate programs. Eligible expenses can include home rehabilitation, reconstruction, new construction, hazard mitigation, elevation and relocation assistance.

Money will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.  As of Wednesday afternoon, at least 89 people had applied.  More info is here:
