Passing of David Prasifka, EMC, Atascosa County

The EMAT Board of Directors regrets to inform the membership of the death of David Prasifka, Emergency Management Coordinator, Atascosa County. 

David was the Fire Chief for the Jourdanton Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years and held the Assistant EMC and EMC positions since June 2013 and October 2014 respectively. 

David was actively working and leading his community in the COVID-19 response. A funeral procession was held this morning with agencies from Atascosa and Bexar counties participating. 

The EMAT Board of Directors offers their sincerest condolences to the Prasifka family and to the employees of Atascosa County.  David dedicated his life to serving the members of his community and will be missed.
