Frank Bengochea was the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Pasadena, Texas, since September 2017. Prior to that, he served as the Senior Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator beginning in March 2014. Bengochea served the residents of Pasadena as a fire fighter for more than 35 years. From 2001 to 2005 he worked as the Deputy Fire Marshal for the City of Pasadena Fire Marshal’s Office, followed by his role as Assistant Fire Marshal from 2005-2014. Bengochea began his career in emergency services as a fire and police dispatcher beginning in 1992.
Bengochea was a newer member of EMAT, joining in Fall 2019. His passion for emergency management and public safety will not be forgotten. Let us carry on our work as emergency managers in his honor.
