FEMA cancels Annual Emergency Management Higher Education Symposium

3 Feb 2025 4:31 PM | Diane Weidenkopf (Administrator)

FEMA has announced that the Annual Emergency Management Higher Education Symposium, scheduled for June 2-4, 2025, has been canceled. FEMA sincerely thank everyone who submitted presentation and poster proposals, and looks forward to your involvement in next year's event.

Looking ahead, the 2026 Symposium will continue to be a key platform for exchanging ideas and practices in emergency management higher education. It will focus on preparing for complex disasters by offering valuable tools, resources, and information, while strengthening the connection between education and real-world practice. Please save the date for June 1-3, 2026!

Additionally, please note that the Higher Education Program website is currently undergoing migration to a new server. FEMA will post updates soon, including information on the College List, upcoming Community Webinars, and other program news.
