Application period for Commodity Flow Studies (CFS) closes February 28, 2025

26 Feb 2025 7:34 PM | Diane Weidenkopf (Administrator)

The application period for Commodity Flow Studies (CFS) is closing on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Commodity Flow Studies are a vital tool for understanding the movement of hazardous materials through a specific area. These studies analyze transportation routes to identify the types and quantities of hazardous materials transported through a jurisdiction. This information helps emergency planners and responders develop effective strategies for mitigating risks and responding to potential hazardous materials incidents. These projects will support your Local Emergency Planning Committee and assist with identifying high-risk transportation routes for hazardous materials, creating detailed maps and reports of the movement of hazardous materials, informing emergency response plans and training programs, and enhancing collaboration between local, state, and private-sector partners.

TDEM is accepting applications on behalf of the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC). Completed applications will be accepted via email at techhaz@tdem.texas.gov through 5:00 PM February 28, 2025, for consideration for the program during this fiscal year.
